In suitable cases, their application with limited preparation can help preserve natural tooth tissue.
What are Composite Bonding and Aesthetic Fillers?
Composite bonding is a procedure that uses aesthetically pleasing composite materials in tooth color to reshape and improve the appearance of teeth. It can be used to repair minor fractures, close gaps between teeth, adjust tooth lengths, and correct limited color or shape problems. In most cases, the procedure offers a more conservative approach, and the need for tooth abrasion may be limited.
Is Aesthetic Treatment Possible Without Cutting Teeth?
In some cases, aesthetic correction can be achieved with minimal intervention to the natural tooth tissue thanks to composite bonding or minimally prepared laminate veneers. However, not every case is suitable for treatment without "tooth preparation". The necessary amount of preparation is determined by evaluating the position, color, occlusion relationships of the teeth and existing restorations.
Can gaps between teeth be closed with bonding?
Small gaps, especially between the front teeth, can be closed with composite bonding in suitable cases. The width of the teeth, the amount of spacing, and the bite relationship are evaluated to create a natural-looking form. For wider gaps or different aesthetic needs, options such as orthodontic treatment or laminate veneers may also be considered.

Material selection is done individually for each patient, considering the tooth's existing structure, the treatment to be applied, color and optical properties, occlusion relationships, and the patient's aesthetic expectations.
